Mark your calendars, as on the 24th of May our golden Goddess, Hyperia, is celebrating her very first birthday! Standing proudly at a towering 236ft tall, soaring riders to an astonishing top speed of 81mph and giving those who are brave enough to find their fearless over 14 seconds of weightless moments, Hyperia, the UK’s tallest, fastest and most weightless rollercoaster is a magnificent masterpiece that must be experienced. Since its launch, riders have found their fearless over 726,000 times which is a milestone in itself! Whether you found your fearless in 2024 or have it on your bingo card to accomplish in 2025, Hyperia can’t wait for you to forge your wings of steel, step into her story of courage and Find Your Fearless!
Big Easy Boulevard Turns One!
This year also celebrates the first anniversary of Big Easy Boulevard, our reimagined land that brings a vibrant, feel-good, carefree New Orleanian atmosphere to Thorpe Park. Life down the Boulevard is a breeze, with laughter and screams filling the air, plus exhilarating attractions for everyone to enjoy! Did you know, last year you experienced Detonator over 249,000 times?! That’s the same as plunging over 24.9 million feet, which is a distance further than travelling from London to the actual New Orleans in Louisiana, USA! A destination with excitement at every turn for the whole family to enjoy – take a stroll down to Big Easy Boulevard this year to discover a world of fun, thrills and adventure!

We know, we don’t look a day over 21, but can you believe the UK’s best theme park* turns 46 years old this year?! Last year we hosted an unparalleled celebration and gifted you the ultimate present - the launch of the UK’s tallest, fastest and most weightless rollercoaster, Hyperia! This year is all about presence and not presents, we can’t wait to welcome you back to the Home of Feel-Good Thrills and continue being the destination for you to laugh, scream, conquer fears, Find Your Fearless and make memories that’ll last a lifetime.
Birthday’s Galore!
Whilst Hyperia takes centre stage with her first birthday, we can’t not give the spotlight to our other record-breaking, world-class, extraordinarily epic rides who are also celebrating milestone birthdays at the UK’s most thrilling theme park this year!
Tidal Wave celebrates turning a quarter of a century old on the 7th of April and we can’t believe where that time has gone?! Opening in the year 2000 as Europe’s tallest water ride, our super-soaker has been drenching riders to their core for an incredible 25 years. Soaking each rider with the equivalent of 2.7 bathtubs full of water over them when they plummet 85ft to the glistening lagoon below, grab your mates (and your ponchos) for another wet and wild season at Thorpe Park.
Birthday twins Stealth and The Swarm are each celebrating their own teenage milestones year. Speeding into its last year of being a teenager, Stealth turns 19 years old on the 15th of March; launching thrill-seekers from 0-80mph in 1.8 seconds to a heart-racing 205ft, Stealth not only has the world’s fastest acceleration time on any rollercoaster in the world, did you know it is also the world’s first rollercoaster to be blessed by a vicar? Also on the 15th of March, The Swarm soars into celebrating its first year of being a teenager when it turns 13 years old! Swoop and soar through a post-apocalyptic world on The Swarm, the UK’s first winged-coaster, as it begins to navigate those quite literal rollercoaster teenage years in 2025!
Sinister and 16, our mechanical monstrosity of a rollercoaster, SAW – The Ride celebrates a not-so-sweet, sweet 16 this year on the 14th of March. Opening as the world’s first horror movie themed coaster, the past 16 years of stomach-churning thrills has seen Jigsaw take riders on a white-knuckle journey through terrifying treacherous traps. Not for the faint-hearted, SAW- The Ride plummets riders 100ft from a beyond-vertical 100° drop! Who’s feeling brave enough to play a party game with Jigsaw this year?
