Thorpe Park, the UK’s most thrilling theme park, is back for another epic season from 28th March! Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned thrill-seeker, planning ahead can help you make the most of your day.
Your Must-Have Park Companion: The Thorpe Park App
Make your visit smoother than ever with our official app - your ultimate guide to thrills and adventure. From real-time queue updates to ride recommendations based on your height requirements (just search ‘1.3m’ for example), the app has it all. Are you looking for food that meets your dietary needs? Simply search terms like ‘vegan’, ‘vegetarian’ or ‘halal’ to find the best options. On the app you can also purchase a digital photo pass to capture your epic ride photos and grab Fastrack tickets to maximise your time.
Pro tip: Download and explore the app before you arrive. The app is a jam-packed tool, so make sure to download it before your visit as you can do lots of planning before you even arrive!
Thrills for All Ages
Visiting with little ones? Great news, for visitors under 1.2m, admission is free and there's plenty of exciting rides and attractions for them to enjoy! From Flying Fish to Storm Surge, Mr Monkey’s Banana Ride to Zodiac , there's something for everyone. Simply pre-book the free ticket online when purchasing tickets for the rest of your group on our website.
Entry Like a Pro
Save your pre-booked tickets on your phone for quick scanning at the entrance. Even better, import them directly into the Thorpe Park App for seamless access.
Public Transport Options
Reaching Thorpe Park is a breeze! A direct train from London Waterloo to Staines takes just over 30 minutes and once you arrive at Staines Train Station, the Thorpe Park Shuttle Bus will take you directly to our entrance. Alternatively, hop on the 446 local bus, which drops you right outside the park gates.
Stress-Free Parking
Driving in? Secure a smooth exit by pre-booking your car parking ticket online ahead of your visit.
Pro tip: Snap a quick picture of your parking spot when you arrive to save time and avoid the “where did we park” question later!
The Early Bird Catches The Worm
Whilst the park gates open at 10:00am, arrive early to be amongst the first at the gates – ideal for getting to your first ride of the day before the crowds.
Solo Riders
If you’re a solo rider or don’t mind splitting up from your group, take advantage of our single rider queues. Perfect for the solo thrill-seeker!
Rest and Recharge
Do you need a breather between all the thrills? Take a break in one of the park’s hidden relaxation spots - the Sunken Gardens, located behind Stealth, is a perfect place to grab a moment of tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle! Did you know, we have a Quiet Space located in our Lower Dome? This space is available to anyone who needs a quiet break from the thrills of the park. For access, speak to team members in First Aid (located a few doors down) who will grant access on a first-come, first-served basis.
Accessibility Support
For assistance with ride access passes, carer tickets, equipment hire and more, before you go through admissions turnstiles, visit our Accessibility Kiosk, this is open from 9:00am until one hour before the park closes (closing times vary, so check ahead). If the kiosk is closed or you’re already on park, Guest Services, located in the Lower Dome, is there to assist with any information you need.
Top tip: If you’re looking for accessibility support before you arrive, we have plenty of resources available on our website, plus our awesome Customer Service team can help with any specific queries or questions you may have about accessibility.
Test Before You Ride
Not sure if a ride is right for you? Did you know, Hyperia, SAW – The Ride, Stealth, The Swarm, Colossus, Nemesis Inferno, Vortex, and Samurai all have test seats located at their entrances? Plus, every ride features accessibility and sensory information located at their entrances to help you decide if it's right for you!
Stay Cool on Hot Days
When the sun is shining, hit the water rides early - Tidal Wave will cool you down instantly! Also, don't forget to pack (and use) suncream and stay hydrated throughout the day. Bring a reusable water bottle with you and fill-up at one of the many refill stations, plus we have suncream dispensers located across the park so you can top up your SPF between rides!
Pro tip: All water refill stations and suncream dispenser locations can be found on our map and in our app.
Queue Time Entertainment
Arm yourself with entertainment essentials to conquer any queues. From small and easy-to-pack games like Dobble to power banks for your phone, preparation is key for keeping the fun going.
Shop Smarter
Visit the gift shops in the middle of the day when they’re quieter, allowing you to browse leisurely and fully appreciate the merch without the hustle and bustle of peak hours.
Pro tip: Passholders, don’t forget your exclusive discounts!
Dodge the Dining Rush
Do you want to make the most of your time? Escape the lunchtime rush by eating earlier or later in the day.
Squeeze in One Last Ride
Remember, the rides don't close when the park does! The advertised closure time marks when the queue lines shut, so make sure to get in line for one last ride before the advertised closing time.
Respect the Park and Spread Positivity
A little positivity goes a long way! Make the most of your visit by treating the park, our team members and fellow guests with kindness and respect.
Create Lasting Memories
Above all, enjoy every moment! Whether you’re facing a rollercoaster fear, indulging in delicious theme park treats or soaking up the excitement, your day at Thorpe Park is all about making unforgettable memories!
Armed with these top tips, you’re ready to take on a day full of record-breaking coasters, epic rides and ultimate thrills! So, gather your friends and family and get ready for an awesome adventure at Thorpe Park!
